Join us for the opening reception of Between Dimensions, a new exhibition of cutting-edge sculpture from rising creative Lydia Smith. Enjoy an artist Q&A in the Salon with Lydia and The Good Times House art advisor David Johnson, followed by the chance to meet the artist in person and delve in to her passion for the three-dimensional form. The evening continues in to the early hours with live music, a DJ set and themed cocktails downstairs in Rico’s bar. Q&A spaces are limited so be sure to RSVP to secure your spot!
Lydia Smith, born in 1995, is a multi-disciplined artist working with historical and contemporary processes to realise her works. Her studio is based in Trafalgar Square, central London. Through her practice, she explores the theme of human connection, which encompasses sub-topics, including Ancient History, Technology, Science, and Spirituality. She uses the physical and digital landscape to create sculptures, paintings and digital art. Working with the ancient material, clay, she enters a flow state, allowing her concepts to express themselves subconsciously; once complete, using her unique method, her work metamorphoses into the digital realm. These pixilated forms inform the evolution of her process.
After the Q&A with Lydia Smith, the evening will continue in Ricos with Lofi.
Enjoy the nylon strings, loops and beats with Spanish flamenco flavours from Lofi with Ben Drummond on Spanish guitar and Dickie Butcher on the decks until late.
